Project Discovery addresses the problem of unequal access to higher education by low income and/or potential first generation students. Program activities include academic support, counseling, goal-oriented workshops and campus visits. Such activities help low income students set goals for their lives, increase self-esteem and become the first in their family to go to college. Approximately 165 youth are served each year with around 30 high school seniors graduating and going to college
