The agency operates an emergency Food Pantry that provides USDA Commodities.
Customers are eligible to receive food from Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) if their household meet the income guidelines in addition to participating in the following programs such as; SNAP, TANF, SSI and individuals receiving Medicaid. Donated items are made available for customers that do not meet the guidelines.
The Food Pantry operating hours are:
9:00 am – 12:00 pm - Tuesday – Thursday, appointments are required.

The agency will assist persons with emergency service needs such as; rental and utility assistance. (Upon available funding) Customers must show proper proof of ID and any required documentation to receive services.

Career Services provides unemployed job seekers with various skill building training such as, career counseling, coaching, job readiness and free resume writing assistance. Employment services objective is to focus on equipping customers with sustainable skills to obtain long-term employment.

Virginia Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Tax Program
Virginia Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Tax Program is a Greater Richmond’s Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition (EITC). There mission is to make a difference in the lives of working families, to achieve greater financial independence by advocating for EITC, providing cost free tax preparation and offering financial literacy guidance and education.
The Child Care Food program serves youth 0-12. The Child Care Food Monitor offers cash reimbursements to state licensed, locally certified, and voluntarily registered in-home childcare educators desiring to provide nutritious meals and snacks that contribute to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of young children. The amount of reimbursement is determined by the number of children participating in the home and the type of meals served and number of days of operation.
CAPUP's Child Care Food Program is funded and operated in conjunction with Virginia Department of Health and Human Services (VDH), and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) - Food & Nutrition Services (FNS).

Summer enrichment programs provide fun interactive learning experiences for youth introducing them to music.
The Senior Center provides a wide range of services for low-income, seniors such as: nutritional food program, blood pressure screening, field trip, classes in arts and craft, exercise, and budget management. Through our collaboration with Senior Connection we provide seniors the opportunity for peer-on-peer social connection where they are.
